We were proud to attend the Carroll County Public Schools (CCPS) Employee Recognition Ceremony, which celebrates the exceptional educators and staff who make a difference in students’ lives every day.

During the event, we had the special honor of recognizing Emily Brynes of Westminster High School, who was named CCPS Teacher of the Year. In celebration of her outstanding achievements and commitment to education, First Financial presented Emily with a gift basket as a small token of our appreciation. Her dedication to shaping the future and supporting student success is truly inspiring.

For more than 30 years, First Financial has been proud to serve the Carroll County community. Supporting local schools and recognizing the incredible work of educators is just one of the many ways we stay connected to the people and institutions that make our community strong.

Congratulations again to Emily Brynes and to all of this year’s honorees. We thank you for everything you do!

First Financial was eager to recently attend the 2026 Carroll County Public Schools Transition Fair! The fair is an annual event that connects families of children and young adults – from infancy to 21 years – with various services, agencies, and post-secondary supports.

The fair featured a mix of presentations, resource exhibitors, and guidance on navigating the transitions from school to adulthood.

First Financial is committed to helping the youth in our community access the services and support networks that prepare them for the next stages of their lives and empower them to thrive!

First Financial was honored to recently attend a networking dinner for the next cohort of the Outstanding Young Women’s Leadership Program, joined by local mentors such as Carroll County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Cynthia McCabe and Towson University‘s first Presidential Scholar and OWYL founder, Dr. Nancy Grasmick.

The Outstanding Young Women Leadership Program started in 2020 through a partnership between Towson University’s Women’s Leadership Collective, founded by Dr. Grasmick and Baltimore County Public Schools. First Financial is proud to serve as this cohort’s sponsor.

During dinner, students shared conversations with local mentors about their industries, career and life advice, and workshopping different career paths. Dr. Cynthia McCabe and Dr. Nany Grasmick both spoke to the group. As part of the dinner, the students also designed and created centerpieces for each table as well.

First Financial is proud to sponsor this cohort of the Outstanding Young Women’s Leadership Program and to champion the promising futures of these young women!

First Financial was recently excited to host students from Baltimore County Public Schools, Carroll County Public Schools, and Towson University‘s Outstanding Young Women’s Leadership Program!

The Outstanding Young Women Leadership Program started in 2020 through a partnership between Towson University’s Women’s Leadership Collective, founded by Dr. Grasmick, TU’s Presidential Scholar, and Baltimore County Public Schools.

Our Youth Outreach team led the students through an interactive budgeting game, where students are challenged to budget out certain monthly expenses, with essentials such as housing, groceries, transportation, and more. With guidance, our budgeting simulation game allows students to begin preparing for adult life by practicing healthy financial habits.

First Financial Federal Credit Union’s annual school supply donation to Carroll County Public Schools was a huge success! Thanks to the generosity of our team and community, over $3,000 in supplies were donated to help students start the school year feeling confident and prepared.

What We Donated:

We’ve been proud partners with Carroll County Public Schools for over 30 years, and we’re thrilled to continue supporting the students and educators who make our community so special.

Here’s to a great school year ahead!
