Membership

First Financial Federal Credit Union proudly serves educators, health care workers, Federal employees and other select business groups within the State of Maryland. To qualify for membership at First Financial, you must work for one of these groups, volunteer at one of the schools, hospitals or parishes, or in some cases, are a student of a school or college that is within our First Financial Federal Credit Union proudly serves educators, health care workers, Federal employees and other select business groups within the State of Maryland. To qualify for membership at First Financial, you must work for one of these groups, volunteer at one of the schools, hospitals or parishes, or in some cases, are a student of a school or college that is within our Field of Membership. Once you are a member with First Financial, you are a member for life unless you close out your account. Even if you change employers after you have opened your account, you can remain a First Financial member.

Family Membership

Your family can also enjoy the benefits of Credit Union membership. Our membership is extended to members of the immediate family or household of a current First Financial member. An immediate family member is defined as a spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent or grandchild of a current member. We offer membership to those individuals whether or not the family member lives in the same residence. A household member includes individuals living in the same residence and maintaining a single economic unit as a credit union member.

Business Accounts

First Financial now serves the financial needs of members with small businesses. Small business owners can expect to receive the same level of professionalism and commitment to meet their commercial needs as they have always received for their personal financial needs. Members of the credit union who operate a small business as a sole-proprietorship may open a savings and/or checking account in the name of the business with the proper paperwork documenting the tax ID or EIN. The business must have no employees other than the member, and all joint owners on the account must be eligible for credit union membership. Additional documentation may be required. Organization Accounts

First Financial also serves organizations, clubs and associations that are within our field of membership. To be eligible for an organization account, all members of the organization must be eligible for credit union membership. Additional documentation may be required.

Membership Application

Joining First Financial Federal Credit Union of Maryland is easy. Simply deposit $5.00 into a savings account and you are immediately eligible for all the benefits of Credit Union membership. Once you're a member, you are a member for life and your family members are eligible as well.
