First Financial Partners with the Community to Help Children

First Financial Federal Credit Union supports the community through a variety of charitable donation programs. As a Credit Union based in education, the focus of our charitable efforts are directed toward enhancing the lives of children in the communities we serve.

Kids First Fund

Through First Financial's Visa credit card program, a percentage of all purchases made by our members with their First Financial Visa card, are donated to enhance the lives of children in our community through the KidsFirst Fund. In 2002, First Financial has made donations to the following organizations or individuals:

BCPS/Department of Health - Dental Sealant Program $45,000 for the 2002-2003 school year.
Scholarship Program - (6) $5,000 Scholarships were awarded to the following graduating high school seniors within our field of membership:
- Kelly Blake - Hereford High School
- Melissa Cassell - Towson Catholic High School
- Lane Levine - Franklin High School
- Johanna O'Connell - Westminster High School
- Jamie Pool - North Harford High School
- Keri Wenderoth - C. Milton Wright High School
The award criteria is a combination of academic, community service and financial need. Please see our Scholarship Page for details about our 2003 Scholarship Program.
Johns Hopkins Children Center - $3,000 donation.
