Cardinal Campus Card Applications
First Financial FCU and Calvert Hall College High School have partnered to bring the students, faculty and staff of Calvert Hall a Debit Card Program. The Cardinal Campus Card student ID functions as a library card and PIN activated debit card for making purchases in the dining hall and bookstore. Through the use of this debit card, also called the Cardinal Campus Card, student and faculty members are able to make purchases exclusively on the Calvert Hall campus.
This debit card enables students, faculty, and staff to make purchases in the dining hall and bookstore without using cash. The purchase amount is debited from a checking account at First Financial FCU. The Cardinal Campus Card can only be used for purchases on the Calvert Hall campus. In addition to bringing convenience to the campus, use of this debit card allows for shorter lines and better service in both the dining hall and book store.
Not only is there no longer lost lunch money, but you also have greater control of spending with the Cardinal Campus Card. Rest assured that only your son can access the funds in this account. Each student selects a PIN number to be used with their Cardinal Campus Card. To make a purchase, this PIN must be entered after the card is swiped at the register. You can stay up to date with the balance and all transactions for the account anytime using First Financial's free 24 hour banking by phone service (410-321-6060, option2) or our free online home banking.
Here's how the Cardinal Campus Card program works:
- Step 1 -Become a member of First Financial FCU by downloading and completing the Cardinal Campus Card application along with a parent as joint owner. If your account is opened prior to August 3 your debit card will be ready for the first day of school.
- Step 2 – By completing the application, you will also open a free checking account since the purchases made on campus will be debited from this account. For your convenience, each month you will receive an email notification that your statement is available through First Financial's secure online banking service. The PIN or access code for these services can be changed at any time.
- Step 3 - Make a deposit to this new checking account for your debit card purchases. Additional deposits can be made by mail or by visiting any First Financial branch.
- Step 4 –Your son will receive his new Cardinal Campus Card ID for use at the dining hall and bookstore during the first week of school*.
Once the form is completed, mail it to the First Financial's main office or stop by a branch location. *Please note, if you would like your debit card to be active for the start of the school year, your application must be received or dropped off at a First Financial location by August 3.
